Robbery can be charged as a 1st degree felony (Aggravated Robbery) if, during the course of the theft, an individual:

Causes serious physical injury to another person.
Uses or shows/brandishes a deadly weapon.
Threatens with or places a person in fear of bodily injury or death when that person is over 65 or disabled.

Aggravated Robbery (1st Degree Felony)

Maximum 99 years or life in prison
